Sarah Gross
USA National Miss 2011
Sarah Gross is a sophomore in college at Austin Peay State University located in her hometown of Clarksville,Tennessee. She plans to earn an undergraduate in criminal justice to pursue her ambition in becoming a detective. She works diligently to maintain her 4.0 G.P.A. and her membership in her honor societies of Gamma Beta Phi and Alpha Lambda Delta.
While succeeding in school, she also works just as hard out of school in her community. She enjoys being involved with the Disabled American Vets, the Fort Campbell Chapter. It has taught her the appreciation of what her father, her uncle, and many others who have served in the armed forces of the freedoms Americans have. She is also active in Angel Food Ministries with the United Methodist Churchand many other ministries with her church, The United Korean Church. In addition to ministry work, she also teaches Sunday school at her church for grades kindergarten through second.
She enjoys many other activities such as daily fitness activities at her college gym, running, reading, Sudoku puzzles, and learning new Korean recipes. She plans to use her passion of running for charity. She is currently training for a marathon and in October she plans to participate in the Rock and Roll series of a half marathon in St. Louis for TASK- Team Activities for Special Kids and a full marathon in Nashville for American Cancer Society. She loves the outdoors and likes to go hiking, fishing, and camping whenever she can. She is blessed to have an amazing support system from her family and friends and without them would not be where she is. She loves spending time with her family and friends whether the activities are watching movies, family dinners, or competitive games of monopoly.
