Emily Honng
USA National Pre Teen 2011
Emily Honng is an eleven year old Honor Roll Gifted and Talented Education student in Rowland Heights, California. She has received Academic Talent Search Achievement from University of California Irvine. She is a recipient of the President's Education Award, Outstanding Student Leadership Council, and Presidential Physical Fitness Award. Emily has won several Academic Achievement Awards, International and National Talent awards, Supermodel, Sportswear, Top Model, Appearance, Best Resume, and Scrapbook awards. She also placed in International and National Actress, Runway, Casual Wear, and Art competitions. Emily is an active volunteer in her community and has won National Volunteer Service and Mayors Honor Award.
With her many talents such as playing piano, singing, and dancing, Emily loves volunteering her time at senior centers and children disability care homes. She is also an entertainer and volunteer for fundraiser events at Walk For Hope and Relay For Life. As a member of the youth choir and dance group, Emily has performed at benefit concerts for homeless shelters, at festivals, holiday celebration, and charity events for school and church.
Emily is an athletic girl and when she is not busy swimming competitively for the Junior Olympics team every day, she enjoys spending time at the beach with family, traveling across the country in the summer, playing any outdoor sports, and having lots of fun hiking with friends, especially with her little brother Brian. She also loves reading, listening to music, and watching basketball games with her dad and brother.
She has met several celebrities, including her favorite Olympian Michael Phelps and is inspired to live by his quote, "You can't put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get." Emily has held many regional and state titles, including USA National Preteen, International Junior Miss California Preteen, Miss California Preteen National Teenager, Miss California American Coed Preteen and Sweetheart, and National American Miss California Jr. Preteen.
