Our National Sweetheart Pageant is a one-day national pageant competition open to young ladies ages 4-25 who are NOT competing for UNM National Titles.
This is an opportunity to compete on our iconic national stage, get feedback from our national level judges, and have a fun, no contract, no strings attached national level pageant experience and production. Competition takes place during UNM Nationals preliminaries and there will be six divisional winners who will receive the National Sweetheart crown and sash. This is another way we are providing young women with more opportunities to be #PositivelyEmpowered. Information regarding dates and venue for 2026 will be available soon.

National Sweetheart Details
Age Divisions
Miss 20-25
Teen 16-19
Jr. Teen 13-15
Preteen 10-12
Princess 7-9
Jr. Princess 4-6

Age as of June 1st each year. Contestants must be a natural born female and compete as such, never been married or pregnant or have had a child. Contestants must reside in the United States and be a citizen.
Who can participate?
This is a perfect opportunity for those who want national stage practice on a national level stage production with national judges feedback prior to their upcoming state or national pageant for ANY system.
This is also perfect for those who can’t compete for a week-long national title due to schedules or finances, but would still love to compete for the chance to bring home a national title.
What are the requirements?
Contestants will compete in evening gown and runway (fun fashion) for the chance to win the USA National Sweetheart national crown and sash. USA National Miss Sweetheart title comes with no requirements and no contracts or management. It's a one-day pageant with no strings attached.

What is the walking pattern?
Contestants will use the official walking pattern for both runway and evening gown, unless they have their own walking pattern they are practicing.

How do I purchase tickets?
Click here to purchase tickets. You will choose "preliminary" shows as your ticket type, as that is when Sweetheart compete and are crowned.
